Tony Savarimuthu,
Vice President
Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia

Tony Savarimuthu is Vice President of the 4As and CEO of McCann Worldgroup. This company handles a client portfolio comprising of many leading multinational and local brands including Al-Rajhi Bank, DiGi, L’Oreal, MasterCard, Nestle, Proton, Sime Darby and Unilever.

Prior to joining McCann-Erickson, Tony was Executive Vice-President - Marketing & Strategic Planning for MBF Cards Malaysia, an integrated card services company and one of the largest issuers of MasterCard in the region. He also sat as a Board Director of BonusLink during his tenure at MBF Cards.

Tony spent 11 years at Leo Burnett and served as Group Director of The Leo Burnett Group and as General Manager where he led many multi-nationals and local brands teams.

Tony is a UK Business and Marketing graduate and one of the first MBAs to join the advertising industry. He also passed the UK CAM Foundation Diploma with Honours at one sitting and holds a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma from the UK.

Tony is currently Vice-President of the 4As Council and chairs the Knowledge Management Committee. He is a Board Director of the IACT has also served on the Audit Bureau of Circulation Board. He writes a regular column for The Sun and is Publisher of the globally circulated McCann Knowledge Quarterly journal.
