Hall of Fame 2008 Press Conference |

Seven individuals, including film-maker Yasmin Ahmad, Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing and the late John Machado, have been inducted into the newly inaugurated Malaysian Advertising Hall of Fame for their contributions to the advertising industry.
The others inducted by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) are Janet Yeo, the late Peter Beaumont, Kenneth Smith and the late Datuk Jaffar Mohd Ali.
Datuk Vincent Lee, president of the 4As and group executive chairman of Foetus International, said the recognition was long overdue.
“Without forerunners like Peter Beaumont and John Machado, neither I nor Tony Savarimuthu (vice president of 4As and CEO of McCann Worldgroup), would be sitting here today,” Lee said at a press conference in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
